WHO
Teachers grades 5–12 (veterans and newcomers welcome)
WHAT
A two-day workshop designed to introduce engaging curricula and strategies aligned with Oregon Content Standards.
Participants will learn how to help students develop positive attitudes about authority, justice, and the rule of law; think about the common good; and take action to express their commitment through voting, volunteerism and petitioning the government for change.
Students will learn through mock trials, simulated hearings, discussing timely issues and much more.

EXTRAS
- Classroom Law Project will cover a sub for one day with the other day covered by local districts (contact CLP if additional support is necessary)
- $50 travel stipend for teachers traveling 150+ miles round trip (contact CLP if travel requires an overnight stay)
- Professional Development Units (12 hours)
- You may be eligible for a free classroom set of the acclaimed We the People: The Citizen & the Constitution and Project Citizen textbooks
- Optional 1.0 semester hour graduate level continuing education credit from Lewis & Clark College ($100 tuition fee payable to Lewis & Clark at the workshop)
COST
