Are you an upper elementary or middle school teacher? Do you use the We the People curriculum and do simulated hearings in your classroom? If so, why not have a culminating activity at the State Capitol where your students will do hearings in, conveniently, the hearing rooms?

May marks Classroom Law Project’s annual We the People Day in the State Capitol Building. Teachers tell us what hearing questions students are ready for and we do the rest. Classroom Law Project coordinates a hearing room and panel of adults ready to take students’ testimony.

Note: The number of participating classes will determine how much time each class will have for its hearings. CLP will do everything it can to accommodate teachers’ requests.
