Lincoln Constitution Team has Q & A with Supreme Court Justice Ginsberg

April 28, 2014 Before heading to the We The People National Final competition, the 36 students and 12 coaches from the Lincoln High School WTP Constitution Team and Lincoln Principal Peyton Chapman met with Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. In a 45-minute meeting before the 3-day national competition began, students engaged in a deep and thoughtful Q&A session with Justice Ginsburg. Students posed a variety of questions to Justice Ginsburg, including identifying the Court opinions that inspired her writings, her Senate confirmation process in 1993, and the role of women and girls in the political and legal process. This was a memorable meeting for the team, and a great way to start this weekend’s competition. These kids, because of their 13 months of hard work, made this opportunity happen! Go ConTeam Cards!
