  CLP Programs: Courthouse Tour Experience

October 2007 — June 2008

Who
Grades 5 - 12 only.

What
The Courthouse Experience Program provides students with an authentic opportunity to learn about the justice system by observing real cases and court procedures.

Where
Your group will visit 3 buildings during the tour: The Gus Solomon Federal Courthouse, The Justice Center, The Multnomah County Courthouse.

How many students may come?
The maximum number of students per tour is 50.

Are there tours in the afternoon?
Classroom Law Project is piloting a limited number of tours from 1-3 p.m. We will contact you if you are selected for one of these tours.

How many chaperones do I need?
Teachers are required to bring one adult chaperone for every 8 students.

How long does it last?
Roughly 3 hours.

What if I have to cancel my tour?
If you have to cancel, please provide as much notice as possible — four weeks notice is appreciated — so classes on the waiting list will have a chance to fill the opening.
