Learn about civics, government, and the highly acclaimed high school
We the People program at a professional development program
offered by Classroom Law Project.
Who: High school teachers. This Institute is
for newcomers as well as veteran civics educators. Newcomers
will gain substance as well as strategies, and veterans will
add depth and the tools to deliver it.
What: Daily breakouts,
lectures, and discussion groups. Lectures led by popular institute
returnee, The Honorable Susan Leeson, formerly on Oregon’s
Supreme Count, whose activities include co-authoring the revised
high school We the People: The Citizen & The Constitution text. Discussion groups led by experienced mentor-teachers. Two
tracks: one for teachers getting started in the We the People
curriculum, and another for veteran WTP teachers.
